The Manufacturing Supervisor will coordinate the activities of production workers in a business unit with attention to continuous improvement of safety, quality, delivery and cost. This position requires an understanding of the technical aspects of production processes, with a hands-on approach to effectively manage people. The candidate should have strong aptitude to solve complex problems and create and execute detailed project plans. Duties also include: determining daily production requirements and assign workers to meet outputs, communicate with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within and between business units, complete annual evaluations of job performance and administer other company policies, as well as compute business unit performance metrics and communicate the results to management. Two Openings: one on 1st shift 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and one on 2nd shift 3:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Prior supervisory experience in a lean manufacturing environment supervising 20 or more employees. Educational requirements: High school diploma or GED. Technical training or military training would be an asset. Knowledge of lean principles. Computer skills including Excel, Word, etc.
