The exclusive FISHER® SECURITY GUARD Anti-Theft System is a safe and secure way to electronically “lock” your snow plow while it is detached from the truck, providing a deterrent from theft or non-permitted use.

Unlike physical locks that can be cut or removed, the SECURITY GUARD Anti-Theft System electronically synchronizes your control and plow module. When activated, it disables the electronic control system and renders the snow plow inoperable to unauthorized users.

The SECURITY GUARD system comes standard on the XLS snow plow and provides a valuable tool that can be utilized at your discretion.

Operate each wing independently and configure the blade into any number of effective plowing positions, from the 8 ft. retracted straight blade, to the 10 ft. expanded width straight blade, to a 9 ft. wide scoop mode, for maximum snow-carrying capacity. For the ultimate windrowing machine, angle the blade with the wings extended, and angle the leading wing forward to direct snow into the moldboard.

The width and carrying area of the XLS plow in scoop mode delivers significantly greater snow carrying capacity. Plus, the XLS can fully angle in the scoop position to maximize plow handling and capacity - ideal for carrying large quantities of snow, and plowing around corners, in congested parking lots, and along street curbs and sidewalks.

The independently controlled wings on the XLS take windrowing to a whole new level.  In a straight blade position, plows must use less of a blade width with each pass, to keep snow from flowing off the leading edge. With the XLS you can expand and angle the leading wing forward, so snow is directed into the moldboard to eliminate spill-off. You can use the entire blade width to make the most of every pass. The expanded trailing wing also extends the clearing area of the plow beyond truck tires. This eliminates snow loss under your vehicle and effectively reduces windrow passes and cleanup.

The XLS features an aggressive 70-degree attack angle that provides a cleaner scrape and reduces the need for deicing after plowing.

• The heavy-duty blade construction features eight verticle ribs plus one rib on each wing for extra strength.
• Hydraulic wing extensions slide laterally across the structurally reinforced slide box. The tough construction of this channel provides excellent torsional blade strength and prevents distortion under heavy loads.

• With the chain lift system, you get instantaneous “float” when lowering the blade. Unrestricted, the blade can freely follow the contours of the plowing surface for a cleaner scrape.
• With the chain lift you can stack higher because you’re not limited by the hydraulic ram stroke, unlike cylinder lift systems, which can only pull the plow up as far as the limits of the cylinder’s range.
• In the rare event of a hydraulic failure, you can push the plow up into a snow bank and “short chain” the plow by attaching it to the specially designed bracket and safely transport the plow back to the shop.

The convenient hand-held control with backlit directional buttons provides precise response. Individual buttons control blade and wing functions independently for simple operation. Choose between the convenient hand-held Fish-Stik® control with power “on” and “float” LED and automatic shut-off, or the compact joystick control.

We build all our hydraulics ourselves, for unmatched speed and durability. All critical hydraulic components are fully enclosed for protection from the elements.

• Two-way, poppet-style valves allow a higher volume of fluid flow than traditional 3- or 4-way spool valves.
• Hydraulic unit is inverted so that constant warming from the electric motor helps maintain fluid viscosity in the reservoir.
• All solenoids are independently powered and grounded directly to the battery through our plow module for reliability.

• Standard double-acting cylinders provide best-in-class back dragging ability, holding the wings firmly in place, while the built-in pressure relief helps protect from hidden obstructions.

Only the edge of the blade trips when an obstacle is encountered. It’s much less jarring than a full-trip blade, and because the blade stays upright, plowed snow remains in front of the blade. Fisher’s trip edge uses compression-type springs. They never need adjusting and are never stretched like extension springs, providing  the longest life of any type of spring on the market.

We’ve added a new epoxy primer to further enhance powder coat adhesion and improve corrosion resistance.
